Considering that most of us spend more time at work than we do at home, it makes sense to want to find a job you enjoy. So if you’re stuck in a rut and looking for a career change, why not try to land your dream job in 2015? The best way to find happiness at work is by turning your passion into a career. So whether it’s food, travel, exercise or writing, if you can find a job that makes you happy it will never feel like work. We’ve made a top ten list of jobs we’d love to have in 2015. What would be your ideal job?

Back in 2009, Tourism Queensland launched its famous ‘Best job in the world’ campaign, looking for someone to be the Caretaker of the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef. Amazing! The six month contract offered a great salary and rent-free luxury accommodation – could there be a better job? Perhaps not, but there are plenty of islands surrounding Australia, so if you want to be an island caretaker make yourself a list of all the islands and start calling!

Like eating out? Like Instagramming pictures of food? Consider yourself a bit of a food critic? Then maybe it’s time to turn your appetite for eating out into something of a profession by becoming a food blogger. Sure, you’d have to pay for your own meals in the beginning, but build a strong following and a good enough reputation and soon you’ll be eating for free and receiving invitations to all the best restaurant openings. What a job!

Is there anyone who wouldn’t want to get paid to travel? Whether it’s writing a travel column for a newspaper, contributing to a magazine or clocking up stories for a best-selling novel, being a travel writer would mean touring the globe, staying in cool places and trying new things for your work. If you have a sense of adventure and don’t mind getting into interesting situations for the sake of a good story, then travel writing is the perfect job for you.

If you enjoy looking after children and are in need of a sea change, why not become an Au Pair in a location far from home? This family with three young boys lives in the stunningly beautiful Hervey Bay in Queensland. Spend your days taking care of the children, helping around the farm and chilling with the kangaroos as they hop through the backyard. Sounds like just what the doctor ordered!

If you’ve got the gift of the gab and love telling a story, then maybe a career in tour guiding is for you. Spend your days visiting the sites, meeting new people and always have that feeling of being on holidays, even though you’re at work. Nothing better!

Naaaw! Who wouldn’t want to spend their days cuddling puppies and kittens? If you love animals but can’t have your own for whatever reason, pet setting is the next best thing! Spend your days at work being smothered in furry, unconditional love. There’s no way you’ll be going home unhappy at the end of a day, week or month as a pet sitter.

If you’re an apprentice chef stuck in a hot and sweaty CBD kitchen, why not look into moving you apprenticeship somewhere more enjoyable? For anyone wanting to escape the big smoke, Australia’s red centre is about as far away from any city you can get. Around 90km south of Alice Springs is a camel farm – and they’re on the hunt for a farm hand. If this sounds like the job for you, you’ll be saddling camels, leading rides, feeding animals and driving a tractor in no time. What an awesome experience and definitely something worth writing home about!
